Ella's 1st Litter's 4th Week


Summer has been so incredibly hot; unable to put pups outside.
We did attempt some outside time one morning. Lasted
almost 2 hours under close watch, then back inside. During
that time, tried to introduce food. Mom's milk has been
so easy to come by, they were pretty disinterested!
We'll try again next week - momma's rich milk too good.

We tried putting outside on the patio today so they could
stretch their legs and play in a bigger area than the bathroom
floor. Mom wasn't having it. For about 30 minutes, she
guarded the crate and wouldn't let them out. She finally
relaxed and they were allowed to roam. First time I have
seen a mom do this. Usually by this age, she wants more freedom.
Very good mom!

Temperatures are quickly rising and they are looking hot, ugh!

Before taking them inside, we attempt introducing them to food.
This wakes them up, but they just don't have much interest!
Note: We also put colored tags on them so easier to identify in photos.

August 3, 2011 - Our first owner visit :)
Monica drove in the night before, stayed in nearby hotel
then came this morning for a fun visit with the pups.
Amazingly, she was able to decide who would be her next
buddy after getting home and consulting with her family.

Monica left with these two girls on her mind.

Later same day, Monica informed us Jessie will be her
new girl. Also, new name: BELLA
