* 1 pup passed away Dec. 28. Little red female born weak. Strength never improved. Stayed up aroung the clock helping her eat, but finally little body gave out.

Sable picked a good time to have these babies! All the kids' activities were off for the holidays and she started early afternoon, finishing in the evening.
The pictures below start with the very first pup born. We were caught a little off guard as Sable's due date was the 23rd, so excuse the cleaning supplies and such in the corner. After first pup eating well, we got everything "puppy proofed" and ready. For the first few weeks, pups are kept in our shower as it is close to where human mom sleeps and easy to clean.
